Do I Qualify?

What is the process?

• Adults with a Body Mass Index Index (BMI) of greater than or equal to 30 OR a BMI of 27 with at least one weight-related comorbidity (ex: hypertension, sleep apnea, high cholesterol, etc).
  
• You must be under the care of a Primary Care Provider (PCP) before the start of the program.
  
• Lab work will need to be at optimal levels. If certain lab results are abnormal, your PCP will need to treat and optimize your condition.
  

• You must be under the care of a Primary Care Provider (PCP). We will be in contact with your provider if you have abnormal labs that need to be addressed.
  
• Consent and questionnaires will be emailed to you. Please fill out the forms before the consultation.
  
• During your initial consultation, we will review your medical history, discuss your health goals, and do basic nutrition and exercise coaching. Once your labs are reviewed and you have no medical contraindications for our program, we can begin your tailored treatment plan.

Weight Loss Medications

Semaglutide

Semaglutide is an injectable peptide that is a GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) agonist. GLP-1 is an incretin hormone that plays a role in appetite and digestion. They also slow down how quickly food leaves your stomach (called gastric emptying). The result of these actions causes you to feel full , reduces appetite, and causes weight loss.

Contraindications for Semaglutide include:

• Personal or Family History of Thyroid Cancer

Tirzipitide

Tirzepatide is an injectable peptide that is a GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) and GIP ( glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide ) agonist that works within the stomach, it works on two receptor sites. GLP-1 and GIP are both incretin hormones , which are released after eating. Tirzepatide acts like two incretins, therefore, it can cause more weight loss.

Contraindications for Tirzepatide include:

Tercya Jarman is a Nurse Practitioner/Midwife and has 10 years of experience in the medical field. Tercya's background consists of working in labor and delivery as a registered nurse and working in primary care, obstetrics/gyn, and urgent care as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Tercya is passionate about helping others and finding them opportunities to exceed. She believes that by helping others shift their priorities, make healthier changes, feel better, and become healthier, people become happier. She now wants to apply this theory to help others find the motivation to meet their weight loss goals.

Carly Beachner is a registered nurse (RN) with over 5 years of experience in the medical field. She works as a nurse educator, and as needed as an obstetrics nurse. Most recently, she obtained her Master's in Nursing with an emphasis in Education.

She is certified by Aesthetic Medical Educators Training(AMET) as an RN injector providing botulinum toxin (Botox) and injectable dermal fillers. She is excited to begin a new journey at Totally You Wellness.
